Bouteille-Arôme de malte rôti ou fumé, saveur de chocolat mais ne reste pas en bouche très longtemps. Bière plaisante.--Bottle- Has roasted malt aroma, taste like chocolate but does not last in mouth. Thus, a pleasant beer.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, jerc & tupalev - courtesy of jerc. Dark ruby-brown, small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt with a bit of smoke & tobacco. Thin body. Flavour of roasted coffee & dark malt. Finish is moderately dry, with a not entirely unpleasant sourness. Not bad.

Bottle, thanks Jerc. Ok, this is getting late in the evening now. Dark brown pour, small tan head. Roast malt, coffee in mild aroma. Taste of roasted coffee beans over a thin mouthfeel. An interesting style for sure, I don’t care for the thinness of it, but this turned out ok.

Bottle - shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc at tupalev’s domicile - provided by jerc. Poured a deep, dark, clear ruby with a large but short-lived light brown head. Aroma - hops, grain, dark roast malt, some slightly obnoxious yeast, and cedar chips. Flavour was quite grainy (Canadian beer, duh), some hops, wet mulch and some roast malt to make it palatable. Average mouthfeel, a little overroasted even for me, a bit harsh and could stand up for itself better (weakish body).

Bomber with the birds on it - Hmm, I wonder if that means the bottle is very new or very old... or neither. Black ruby tinged body, creamy beige head is fleeting. Dry roast in the aroma is acidic more than coffee. Flavour is dry, like sweetened cold cofffee. watery. Echoes of chocolate are embarrassed as they are prodded into making an appearance. Thinnish palate. Dry chalky finish. Meh.

660ml brown bottle, split with PandoraGreen and gilvanblight. Dark brown pour. tightly bubbled tan head. Mild roasted malt aroma with a bit of chocolate malt. Nice dark roasted malt character, coffeeish notes in the flavour. A bit of a sweet finish.

best I have had from this style. Aroma of molasses black, smooth without any sourness at all. Anise, well-malted, carmel, cocoasome coffee and roast highlights. Well carbonated, medium mouthfeel.
