MartiniFiend (60), Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours darker gold with a good sized white head.light hop aroma and carmel. Light to the palate. This beer has a nice pils flavor. Too many pils taste like a lager. This beer i would buy again. phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 29, 2008 Pretty dissapointing taste overall. There wasn’t anything even remotely decent about it. The body was light and golden, and the head came out nice, but everything else was crap. Taste was like a poop. General_Gao (2357), Iowa City, Iowa, USA May 26, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color. The head was white with decent retention. A bit of lace was left behind on the glass. The aroma wasn’t displeasing with hints of cereal grain, caramel, and some noble hop. Sweet on the tongue with distinct flower blossom and subdued honey flavors. There was also a fresh cereal grain note. Much better than the brewery’s other beer, Esser’s "Best", but still nothing to write home about. ChainGangGuy (1444), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA May 13, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, very light, pale orange body.
Smell: Mild, basic aroma of pils malt, honey, and flowers.
Taste: Sweetish pils malt and a taste of crackers. Mild honey hint. Slight taste of sourdough developing. Light hop bitterness. Finishes as sweetish as it started off.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Oh boy, what a snoozer!
