From a 12 oz. bottle with no freshness date, in the upper right hand corner of the label are the words "Amber Ale." Poured a cloudy amber hued golden orange with a fizzy, bubbly head, not very impressive. Aromas of mineral water, a punch fruity and a subtle sweet caramel. Poor carbonation for the style, and a softly crisp, watery medium bodied mouthfeel. Watery, bland tasting, watery caramel, a sickly sweet cheap punch fruitiness, a hidden grassy hoppiness, almost no bitterness, and watery caramel with a hint of chocolate finish. For me, a very disappointing ale, the drinkability is as low as you can get, will avoid in the future.

[Colorado Road Trip – 2006] A amber colored brew with a nice head. This was a great brew for sitting and chatting about a great trip and all the breweries I have been too. Loved the flavors and the ending finish a good Amber beer.

had at the brewery on a recent visit to estes park. read some ratings to bring back memories since my notes on this were light. thought it was a lot better than given credit. some sweet malt with some hops in the palate. fairly good balance with some interesting earthy characteristics.

Draught sampled at the brewery. Beer was clear, light, bright gold without any head. The aroma was hoppy with a light note of toasted grain and a light miscellaneous note of honey. That’s about it. The flavor was lightly sweet, trace acidic with a short, trace astringent, trace bitter finish chock full of husky, unclean retors. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively.

A sweet light beer, not my style. Like pouring a bottle of Falstaff into a can of Coors, but much sweeter.

When I opened this one, some head caming gushing out of the bottle (although not a full blown gusher). Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a larger sized head. Aromas of yeast, lemon pledge, and some malts. Tastes of lemons, light honey and citrus. Thin and watery body.

Aroma of sweet malts and minerals. Clear gold, thin head. Sweet, earthy malt taste fades to a funky bitterness. Honey sweetness.
