Commercial Description:
This is a fruit beer which uses a raspberry extract added after conditioning. The beer is unfiltered and should be a little cloudy. This is traditional for wheat beers. The malted wheat itself makes up 20% of the total grain.

On tap at the brewery: This is the one my wife really liked. I’ll state up fromt that I’m not a fan of fruit/ wheat in general, but this one was well made. Cloudy, with not much of a head for the style. Could have used a bit more carbonation to be more refreshing.

Hazy yellow pour with a ring of white cream and wisps of white. Aroma is sweet raspberry but not overwhelming. Flavor is lightly wheaty and mildly raspberry. Hints of the honey that appeared in the Honey Wheat. Pretty standard fruit wheat.

Pours a tea auborn with a faint watery and syrupy raspberry. Flavor is corn, sour floral hops stained with small rapsberry chunks, and water. Tingly mouthfeel. Corn again?

[Colorado Road Trip – 2006] A nice easy to drink summer type fruit beer. Has lots of fruit flavor and a light bite at the end. This was nice but only when cold.

Poured a light yellow. Aroma had a mild wheat and raspberry scent (of course). The flavor was very mild and dry without much substance. JJ Fad would not call this Supersonic.

Draught sampled at the brewery. Beer was light, clear gold with a small, white, frothy, mostly diminishing head. The aroma was flat and shy, with just a trace note of toasted grain and a moderate note of raspberry. The flavor was moderately sweet, moderately acidic with an average-length, moderately acidic/dry, lightly bitter finish. The body was light, the texture was watery and the carbonation was lively.

Raspberry Jello and a wheat funk in a poorly crafted mix. Little body and a sweet funk aftertaste. Not a very pleasant experience.
