| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2004 Dark brown with a thin tan head and good lacing. Chocolate malts, lightly roasted, some sourness at tht finish. This porter is a bit of a let down after tasting the coffee porter they brewed for Ed’s Cantina. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 9, 2004 Black body with a smattering of tan bubbles on top. The aroma has dry chocolate and grain. I’d consider the flavor to be sort of light in that there’s a dry chocolate roast that’s sort of cut down the middle with a sugar-sweet caramel. The finish is pretty sweet, I get some cane sugar with a slight touch of bitterness.
