Porters are considered dark ales with it's malt character from the darker malts. It doesn't have the roasted flavor of a stout. Our porter is very smooth dark brown ale.

Tap. Pours dark coffee in color with a creamy tan head. Coffee aroma, roasted, with a hop nose. Dark roasted coffee flavor with a hoppy dark chocolate finish. Dark and medium bodied, silky mouthfeel.

Bottle poured a dark black with brown hilights and a small amber head. Mouthfeel is a little thin for a porter. Aromas of dark malt, coffee, and citrus. Flavors of carmel, burnt malt, and a hint of coffee. Dry pleasently bitter finish.

Almost black with a thin, creamy looking, tan head. Roast and caramel aroma with some raisen and a bit of wet earth. Big body and a strong burnt flavor supported by a sweet caramel malt backbone. Fast finish with some lingering bitterness.

I shared this one with MIBRomeo. The appearance was a dark mahogany with a frothy, milky, thick head with good lacing. The aroma is of coffee, dark chocolate, and grapefruit. The palate is thick and creamy with a full mouthfeel with good carbonation. The flavor is of coffee and chocolate.

very dark w/ a touch of red in it. a thick head that disapated w/ large bubbles and laces well. a light scent on a porter w/ a hint of roasted malts and light hops. the palate is highly carbonated w/ a medium body. flavor is a dry chocolate w/ a hint of weak malts and a slightly sweet finish. overall it’s an ok beer but nothing special

Very light malt aroma, could never tell its a porter by smelling it, a simple light slightly roasted malt taste, with not much happening otherwise It’s like a light schwarzbier

Dark brown with a thin tan head and good lacing. Chocolate malts, lightly roasted, some sourness at tht finish. This porter is a bit of a let down after tasting the coffee porter they brewed for Ed’s Cantina.

Black body with a smattering of tan bubbles on top. The aroma has dry chocolate and grain. I’d consider the flavor to be sort of light in that there’s a dry chocolate roast that’s sort of cut down the middle with a sugar-sweet caramel. The finish is pretty sweet, I get some cane sugar with a slight touch of bitterness.
