Commercial Description:
Porters are considered dark ales with it's malt character from the darker malts. It doesn't have the roasted flavor of a stout. Our porter is very smooth dark brown ale.

Malty aroma, little head. Initial flavor but it rapidly fades to nothing. Slightly sweet, roasted finish. Overall, a pretty bland porter. The Estes Park Winter Warlock beer is 10 times better!

Ok, this beer doesn't look or smell good, but it makes up for it in taste. I could drink many of these, but there's too much other good beer in the world.

I must've had a different beer than everyone else, because mine was full of sweet roasted malts and a very smooth body. Good amount of hoppy bitterness balances very well. A very nice session porter.

Draft at the brewery: Dark brown in color. On the lighter side of the porter mouthfeel spectrum. Nevertheless, had some nice chocolatey, coffee, and roasted flavors that I enjoyed. Overall, tasty, but didn't stand out among its peers.

Typical Porter, some head and lacing. Sweet with a bitter aftertaste. Could have had a stronger flavor to it. Vacation 03

Not too bad--didn't seem to have a lot of heft but the flavor was decent. Initial full roasted malt flavor & some chocolate overtones, with a moderate hop finish. Like some other raters, I thought it was slightly watery too.

This is very orindinary. Sub-ordinary, in fact. Watery and weak in flavor and body.

Head is initially small, frothy, brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, caramel, nutty). Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent.
