patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 3, 2009 draft at the brewpub - Pours cloudy copper and has a nice grapefruit hops aroma. The flavor has good, citrusy hop bitterness and well balanced sweet malt in there too lending a medium body to this not very complex but very drinkable IPA. Lagunitasfan (432), San Diego, California, USA Sep 30, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber orange with light, fluffy head. Nose is hops and sharp citrus. Taste is floral sticky thick sweet to light hoppy bitterness. Not a bad IPA at all. ROGUE (621), Newark, Delaware, USA Sep 2, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper body with a fluffy white head.
Hoppy aroma of citrus and grapefruit. The flavors started with a flash of caramel malt followed immediately by the citrus and floral hops. Not the big hoppy beer i was looking for but it was alright. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jul 9, 2009 A pretty tight IPA if i do say so myself. A cloudy copper colour with a medium sized head. Awesome aroma with fruity pebbles and fresh floral notes. Taste is so fruity and awesome with hints of pepper and blueberry as well as dankalicious herb notes. nuplastikk (1160), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 6, 2009 12oz bottle. !005 flat. No hiss, no bubbles. Has to be an off bottle. Unfortunate, as it’s got a pretty nice taste to it. Earthy hop aroma. Deep orange-brown color, a little darker than typical. Sweet upfront with a nice bitter finish. Good, but underwhelming when uncarbonated. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jan 9, 2009 Really not much hop aroma for an IPA. Dark orange color. This is not a hoppy IPA - about equal with a SoCal Pale ale. The hops are more at the end of this. That said, this is still pretty easy drinking. Good, not great. Indra (2020), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Oct 30, 2008 Fruity, citric, sweet aroma, full of grapefruit, herbs and pine with hints of honey-toasted malt and lemon. Cloudy medium copper color with a fine, sparse head but decent lacing. Mostly dry, citric, piney flavor, hoppy and a bit juicy with only faint suggestions of malt in the background and moderately bitter hop strength. Dry and thinly effervescent palate, body is medium. Fairly average. Kevin (1917), Colorado, USA May 14, 2008 pour is red brown with an anemic root beer float head. strong malt to match the dirt hop scent w/ some citus. orange cream flavor hits first, a bit of something chemical woodish. good bitterness, but the flavors are muddled. getting a bit of toffee in the finish. citrus really makes a nice show as it warms. there are some good flavors here, but they dfon’t see mto work together.
