Cloudy medium reddish-brown with a moderate off-white head. Somewhat floral aroma. Bitter from start to finish. Sure, a little more malt would be nice but hopheads should like this very much. Pretty decent. BeerandBlues2 (3230), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 22, 2005 Dark orange. Dulled pine and resin hop aroma with no malt. Sweet, sugary, juicy malts, with excessive bitterness and once again, dulled hop flavors. Really poor finish as well. Light & watery texture. Eh. ratman197 (3256), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 9, 2005 Hazy copper color with a small offwhite head. Aromas of pine, kind bud, and citrus. Flavors of pine, and grapefruit rind. Bitter from beggining to end. Could use a little more malt for balance. fuyajo (225), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 10, 2005 Nice smell, but that’s kind of it’s best quality. Overly hoppy to the point of bitterness. Watery mouthfeel. Also, this is the darkest pale ale I’ve ever had. Not so great. herbjones (742), Orange, California, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 6, 2005 Muddled would be the right description I think. Nothing about this brew seems to meld. Malt and hops clash. Not good at all. JohnC (2286), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 5, 2005 A mu rky copper pour, this was an unimpressive IPA. the flavor was watery, with an occasional taste of hops. There are so many more great IPAs out there. Pass on this one. ¾ (5003), Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 1, 2005 Chill haze very noticable after pouring the bottle... when it was pouring it was clear medium amber colored, but as it sits in the glass and is chilled, there is a murky haze present. The aroma has a caramel notes, crystal malts perhaps... a bit nutty with some of those smells coming from the yeast, I suspect. The hops smell a little old, a little musty, but the cascade are still sweet and a little spicy. Big musty hop flavor with a metallic twang malt flavor that resembles homebrew. The metallic and burnt nut flavors almost make this IPA undrinkable... really not appealing to me at all, it’s just my preference for certain types of IPAs. Finishes dry with the chinook coating the mouth with a scorched, dry, leafy parched texture. Not a complicated or unique IPA, this one pretty much tastes like the standard homebrew IPA kit recipe.
