Pours very think with no head. The beer had a very hearty smell. Oilly texture with a smokey/woody flavor. Clean finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste. A fairly complex-tasting beer. It’s different, but in a good way.

pours a wonderful opaque black with a thick tan head but fades quickly, strong chocolate and dark malt aroma with hints of cherry, very chocolaty flavor with a good roasted malt taste as well, smooth dry finish with a slight hint of bitterness...not as big of a beer as i expected but not bad overall...just missing a little something

Pours a rich oily black with a nice coating of tan head. Roasted malts and dark chocolate fill the aroma. Good malty sweetness and balance in the body. Finishes pleasantly roasty. A really nice sweet stout.

Light hoppy aroma, a touch of roast. Moderate bodied, thick oaty mouthfeel. Touch of wineyness in the back, bits of chocolate. Not a lot of roast character, but still miles better than any of the other Estes Park products I've sampled in the past.

Pitch black beer with a tan head. Grainy toffee aroma. Slightly sweet and very malty. Hints of burnt malt. Could be a bit more full bodied but otherwise very good.

Dark grain aroma with somem licorice and, yes, other things. Very nice balanced flavor with only moderate sweetness underpinned by roast grains. A poor man's Bells.

Black Black Blackity Black Black. Man, this is a DARK beer. The head is almost brown. Can smell burnt toast and bacon. Smoky, dry flavors, and incredibly full bodied. Maybe some charcoal, too. For a beer this heavy, it finishes with some finesse. The head stay mostly intact till the last drop.
