| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 27, 2002 Very nice looking pour. Dark Dark brown color. A shimmering tan head that diminishes quickly. Roast barley aroma. First sip reminds of a sour mash stout I’ve had in the past. Thinner bodied than the pour suggested - tend to having very little complexity. Flavor primarily of roasted malt and sour dough bread. Finishes quite acidic and dry. Ernest (4501), Boulder, Colorado, USA

chocolate), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is
moderately
bitter, moderately acidic. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively
carbonation, lightly astringent. Watery, thin, bland, poorly balanced, disappointing on so many levels.
