I’m wondering if the bottle cap wasn’t on tight. The aroma is strange. Bananas and leather. Very light. The flavor isn’t very good. Malted overripe bananas, grains, strange. Very much a bad beer. The palate is funny. There’s a dusty quality and an aceticness to it. BeerandBlues2 (3225), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

I got a nice peppery hop kick at the end. Palate was somewhat grainy. Fairly easy drinking. fuyajo (225), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 6, 2004 Updated: May 10, 2005Huge head, but poured to a opaque color; not what I was expecting - it looked more like a wheat beer. Very carbonated, but surprisingly, I really liked the taste. Slightly hoppy finish. I usually don’t like this kind of beer to much, but I was surprised. The reviews seem really polarized, too.
EDIT: Trying for the second time, and I may have gotten a bad bottle. There is almsot no carbonation in it. Tastes good, but has a funny mouthfeel. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

I didn't realize it would smell like Elk piss! Had to give a beer called Staggering Elk a chance though. I think the elk that pissed this substance up were drunk on Schmits Light, because this is pretty bad. scrawfis (143), Naperville, Illinois, USA
