Commercial Description:
Our honey wheat beer contains 120lbs of honey per batch. As with the raspberry this is a lighter beer and also one of our most popular. The honey gives the beer a slight sweetness and also raises the alcohol content because the yeast ferments some of the honey. We use traditional hallertau hops in producing this unfiltered wheat ale.

Thanks Crazy. Cloudy yellow pour with a ring of creamy white. Aroma is very interesting. It’s not the straight up sugary honey I expected. Its kinda dull, but sweet and nostril filling. Makes me think of frosting. Its floral and the honey seems to thicken the body and mouthfeel. The wheat character is light, which is ok with me. A very interesting and tasty brew.

Got this one bottled, thanks Slothgar! Cloudy, opaque dark yellow pour with a foamy, rapidly dissipating white head, strawberry and sweet malty nose, very sweet strawberry and sweet malts throughout, strong finish. Pretty good.

Judging this beer against the style, it is fantastic. There is a great estery aroma that is fresh and herbal, not german-like. It has a great wheat malt background and manages to have a good golden color instead of the sickly whitish-pale color that sometimes comes with wheat beer. When people rate beer, I believe that they need to consult the style explanations on www.BJCP.org, just to give the beer a fair rating.

Bottle in a nice house, Estes Park, CO. Pours cloudy gold with an aroma of bubblegum and strawberry. Flavor is predominantly strawberry with only a hint of honey. Average mouthfeel. Crisp and fruity; I’ll have more.

12 oz bottle generously given to me by Dansting. Pour is cloudy golden and light orange. Full two inch white head that falls fast. Aroma of cloves, grass, hay, honey, wheat and some faint citrus. Taste is full bodied wheatiness with slight honey sweetness and a nice yeast spiciness. This tasted much more of a Hefe to me than a wheat ale. Regardless, nice drinkable beer. Thanks Dan.

[Colorado Road Trip – 2006] A nice easy to drink summer type honey beer. Has lots of flavor and a light bite at the end. This was nice but only when cold. This was light in color and a tad cloudy.

12oz bottle. Somewhat transparent yet mildly sedimented. Dark golden leading to copper. Slight ring of white head. Nose is fruity and grainy. Think Frankenberries. Ever so slight honey aroma. Light bodied and smooth. Wheaty, but with that vanilla and strawberry note. Oily, sweet honey. This is super smooth. Finish is long and cloying. Floral clover honey. This is somewhat dulled , but still flavorful. Rounded and nice.
