Pours out a dark brown color without much of a head. Smell is full of apples and thats really about it. Taste is sweet and like drinking a bottle of apple juice. Interesting, but not really my thing. Thanks for the sample. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 6, 2007 Beautiful amber color. Wonderful notes of cinnamon, apple and caramel on the nose. Oily and complex on the palate. Quite sweet but balanced nicely by some bitter apple (apple skin?) notes. Fantastic as a dessert wine. Very cool stuff. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 20, 2007 Orange colour with a small white head. Aroma has some fresh apple notes along a light spicyness. Very sweet flavor with an apple fruityness and a light dry finish. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Bottle... Clear amber cider with a nose of cinnamon and warm, fresh, cooked apples. Sweet as hell and lightly salty. Full-bodied and oily with no carbonation. Finishes sweet and salty. Thanks go out to argo0 for the sample! JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Thanks to Joebrew for sharing. I really liked this, but I think the Blue Slate Eiswein had the edge. One of the sweetest ciders I have had, but the sweetness seems natural rather than from the addition of sugar. I do taste a hint of caramel and brown sugar. Some spices, cinnamon. Reminds me of sweet baked apples, but perhaps served cold. Amber color. Very sweet overall. An excellent apertif, and works well as a dessert wine. Thanks Joe. Available at Cellar’s Roseville 2. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Pours a dark amber color, with obviously no head. Aroma is overpoweringly sweet in a good way. Dehydrated apples and brownb sugar carry from the nose to the palate. Wonderfully balanced Eiswein like sweetness, and it actually outshone a Dr. Loosen Blue Slate Eiswein at a tasting, so that speaks volumnes for its quality. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 3, 2007 Courtesy of Joebrew. Pours a deep amber color. Killer aroma of brown sugar and sweet apples. The taste is like the best apple crisp I’ve ever had, full of sugary sweetness, cinnamon and piles of apples. It is very sweet and i can see where that would be a turn off for many (not to mention the price tag). This is definitely not a "session" cider, more like a port-replacement. Out-freaking-standing! ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
