Commercial Description:
As a true ice cidre "Cidre de Givre" expresses with intensity the flavors of the apples from Domaine Etienne Dupont. It is derived from E. Dupont Cidre Bouche Brut 2005 by freezing it and then removing the frozen water.

Vintage 2005 - sampled 2006. An orange cider with just hints of a head. The aroma is strong with notes fo apples and cinnamon, and the flavor is very sweet with notes of apples and cinnamon. Nice.

Vintage 2006 - sampled 2009. Amber with a whiff of head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of over ripe apples, alcohol, and caramel. The flavor is quite sweet with a light tart touch and strong notes of apples, leaning on being over ripe, leading to a dry finish. Thanks Steffen for this second go at it.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Vintage 2005. Clear, amber golden with a small, white head. Fresh, tart apple aroma. Very full-bodied with a high degree of sweetness - extremely sweet actually - and then an odd saline accent. Interesting but completely disharmonious. 011206

37.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with no head. Caramel and apple and light sulhporish aroma. Sweet apple distinct flavoured with a solid caramelish base note. Citric and apple fruity flavoured with a distinct citric and applefruity touch lasyting into the finish. Ends mild bitter. Stunning!!

Bottle 375ml.
Clear medium orange color with virtually none head. Aroma is apple, wood, rubber notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat. [20090321]

Bottle, 7%. Sweet apple aroma, also reminds me of liquorice powder... tyrkisk peber. Hazy amber colour. Brown powder sugar flavour. Quite sweet flavour, and not very appley. Good in small doses.

Murky caramelized apple colour. Sugary and really spicy. Soft, sweet, with some mapley notes, splashes of brown sugar and caramel. Not as rich as most of the Canadian examples I’ve had.

(375ml bottle) Clear amber body, no carbonation, nice legs. Aroma is moderately sweet, green apple, syrup. Taste is sweet, green apple, some syrup. Sticky medium-full body, yet fairly clean.
