Commercial Description:
This perky little blonde is full of surprises - a refreshing light wheat ale with a pungent burst of blackberry essence followed with a crisp fresh finish. As refresing as a cool summer breeze! Originally made for the Mt. Shasta Blackberry Festival in 2002.

Bomber poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast, light blackberry and light white bread. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, blackberry, light honey and light straw with a crisp fruity finish.

A fantastic fruity aroma, hint of wheat. Wow, this has some blackberry in it for sure. Quite wheaty, very cloudy. A not bad fruit beer.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber beer with a nice off-white head. Sweet blackberry aroma with some light malt. Blackberry flavor with light malt/wheat. Medium bodied. Refreshing. Blackberry, wheat and light earth/spice lingers. Fruit is done well - not syrupy, clunky, or anything off about it at all.

Another bottle from Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. Hazy, light amber color with a moderate white head. Aroma is almost perfumey blackberry; perhaps wheat and citrus as well. Medium body and creamy carbonation. Flavor is tart berry over wheat. It’s tart, but there is some sugar. Finish is clean. Pretty decent fruit beer.

Bottle from Liquor Barn in Redding, CA too. Pours a straw golden with a nice soapy head. Aroma is rather light with hints of blackberry essence and sweet wheat malt. Wheat up front followed by light soft blackberry and then more wheat. Maybe some light yeasty esters. A little off flavor too. Light and smooth with soft carbonation. Actually not bad really, but I like fruit beers more than the next man.

Bottle from Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. It’s a local brew that looked enticing at the time. Turns out, this one is a nice, drinkable beer with hints of banana and blackberry. I can see the McD’s sweet and sour comment...

Bottle from Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. Not sure what the aroma was but it reminded me of the sweet and sour sauce at McDonalds. Luckily the flavor was a little better. It was sweet and malty with just a hint of blackberry. Easy to drink light-bodied beer.

Soapy nose with a bit of burnt plastic. More burnt phenols and soap on the palate. Dry lingering soap finish.
