A good grainy stout flavor that doesn’t taste like 10% (the new batch I assume) at all. Incredibly smooth finish. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Again has that barleywine meatiness on the palate. Smooth milk chocolate and little else flavor wise. Ungstrup (15122), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The aroma is sweet and dominated by chocolate. While the flavor is much more complex with burnt notes combined with notes of chocolate, coffee, and wood on a slightly sour background. The end is quite dry. arjoseph (594), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Just imagine your favorite porter, and this would be it. This is stout as it would be defined in Liliput. LaMichael (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2004 GABF 2004 - Dark brown color with some light passing through. Small tan head with no significant lacing noticed. Mild nose of tobacco, ash, wood and vegetables. Weird bourbon-type aromas as well that aren’t that good. Some hops are present in the finish, and overall this one is a simple wood/bourbon/coffee flavored stout. The texture is sticky and thick, which scores major points. Light alcohol presence.
