Bottle. Claudy orange brown colour with a huge off-white head. Malty yeasty banana aroma and taste. Medium body and a sweet finish.

Bottled: Orange brown coloured. Dusty. Off white dense head. Banana, yeast and sweetness in the aroma. Flavour of banana, fruit, some spices and light yeast. Ends on sweet and ligth spiced note. Quite good one.

Bottle. This was 3 months passed its use-by and it tasted pretty fresh. Ever so lightly stale wheat, with a surprising hit of aniseed, some banana and wholemeal bread.

Bottle. Sweet banana/peach aroma. Cloudy light brown color with ample head. Sweet dark malt aroma balanced with the banana. Very good but tastes more like a regular Hefe than a dunkel.

This was overall dissappointing. Light neutral nose - too weak for a dunkel weizen, mruky brown color and a fluffy tan head. Little chocolate in the middle of a thin and quick profile. Simply needs more body and flavor.

Bottle from the Ettaler Monastery in Oberammergau, Germany. Off-white head, sparse lacing, carbonated, cloudy and a dark orange hue. Malty, banana and clove aroma. Malty and light banana flavor. Smooth palate. Light bodied beer and just so-so.

The DM & Hotstuff’s European Honeymoon trip beer number 89. This bottled brew from the Ettaler Monastery in Oberammergau Germany poured a large head of foamy long lasting off-white colored bubbles. The body contained average carbonation, was cloudy and brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild wood and dirty socks. Its mouth feel was thick and malt with a lingering malty palate and a smooth aftertaste. Its flavor contained notes yeast and dark malts. Another average brew.

Thank you hotstuff and thedm for bringing this to our little ratingsession. Hazy light brown with a medium froth head. Banana and citrus nose. Thin, no body at all. Some banana taste hidden somewhere in the Dunkel Weizen LaLa Nowhere Land - Yuck.
