Nov 1, 2006 Bottled, 1 liter swing-top bottle. Clear, copper-colored with a beige head. Weak aroma with malt and caramel. Malt and caramel in the flavor as well. A bit too thin body. Pleasant and quaffable but a bit boring. (061013)

Oct 17, 2006 Roasty red with an off-white rocky top. Big sugary malty aroma. Likewise a very sugary essence, like dissolved brown sugar with a dash of molasses and burnt caramel. Robust.

Sep 22, 2006 Bottle. Poured dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted caramel malty aroma. Medium body. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met with this beer.

Aug 6, 2006 In the 0.5L bottle at the Huber Haus. Pours black with ruby-garnet undertones. Fluffy beige head. Has an aroma of toasted wheat. Malty aroma as well. Tastes just like it smells. Has some nice mild chocolate flavors as wello. Body is a bit on the thin side making it a good summer beer.
