Cellar’s Tasting Pale gold color with a small head. Light malt aroma with a bit of flower. Taste is similar to the aroma, but a little bit of a soured ’tang’ sets it off from other pilseners.

This was actually good. The low percentile score is more about bias against lighter bodied lagers than an accurate description of the quality of this session beer. It is on the light side, but there is some bread and dry malt. It does taste like a helles should, some malt body but also something you can drink in long sessions. Gold color, substantial head.

(50cl bottle) Crystal clear apple juice body topped by medium off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, corn, some vanilla. Taste is medium sweet, vanilla, cereal/bread, some corn, light grassy/spice finish -- evokes a cream ale, in a good way. Light body, some creaminess.

[big bottle] This beverage has a hoppy malty crisp aroma, like a good Helles. Bubbly white ring atop a bright gold beverage. Crisp malty beverage with balance on the side of malt, but the cleanness still betrays a hefty fresh German hop schedule. This beverage is so clean, they probably are telling the truth about the water. Light bodied beverage with medium carbonation and a very clean finish. A really enjoyable beverage.

(500 ml bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/portland/ target=blank>Downeast Beverage Co.) OK, not too exciting...Pours clear pale yellow-gold with a big foamy white head. Nose is mild honey and bread. Mouthfeel a little dryish, pretty smooth, medium-full. Sloppy, spotty lacing. Taste is mild honey and bread with a little bitterness. Faintly sourish. Not much going on here.

Tap at Andy’s. This was a amber-gold body with a small head. Very carbinated, quite fizzy, sugary taste. Weak mouth feel. Nothing great.

Poured a deep golden, almost amber color with a mattress on top. Very fruity .. pear, maybe a little of that fruit salad syrup. Bit of a syrupy texture too. Oozier than the better helles’s ... but decent.
