Nothing terribly offensive, but also nothing to make it stand out from the crowd. Has a bit of a floral hope nose, somewhat sour and musty, with a bit of honey sweet maltiness, and a bit of a chalky finish. Not a favorite. puzzl (2661), New York, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours with a pretty nice head. Aroma is a bit corny, ricey, cilantro. Taste is decent, pretty clean, chewy, a bit muddy. Very easy drinking. Nothing is off, though nothing is too exciting. blizzardlover (43), Minnesota, USA

Some nice grain notes. Uninspiring. This beer will not be memorable to me. Half-way point: beer gets better. More honey coming out. Color is not bad; not clear, so not lilke a pils/lager. Good drinking beer. Strong. I would not seek it out however. shalloWMeans (160), Independence, Kentucky, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 2, 2008 A huge, frothy, creamy white head and a nice copper, amber body make for a delicioso looking beer in my dimpled mug. Much darker in color than the normal straw/gold of a typical helles. The aroma is endlessly appetizing, toffeeish, sweet, and full of caramel malt, with overlying notes of sweet potatoes and maple. Everything about this beer reminds me of a vienna lager. When it hits the tongue, you’re instantly refreshed by the light, crisp and deliciously smooth body. The flavor is very well balanced, with doughy, bisciuty malt, a low bitter hop profile, and a rather drying yet satisfying finish. (Definitely not sweet.) There aren’t a ton of flavors, but this beer definitely gets it’s point across. It’s fresh, malty, refreshing and drinkable, with a yeasty presence that makes itself known. Not a typical helles, but a good one. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 1, 2008 500ml bottle. Crystal clear gold with a big white head. Sweet, light caramel nose, light grass and grain. Flavor is bready, a solid floral tone, sweet and grainy. Light finish. Excellent carbonation - millions of bubbles rocket to the top of my glass ata amazing speed. A solid drinker, underrated IMO. 17thfloor (1518), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Pale yellow/orange with a medium white foamy head. Smells earthy with hops, sweet malt and bread. Very bready flavor. Sweet malt and lesser so some bitter hops. Very nice glassy mouthful. Extremely balanced and drinkable. Helles are probably my favorite type of light lager. Not quite as metallic as most pils. sandollor (47), Germany
