A bit of a gusher. Pours a clear golden color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet grains with very faint grassy hops. Taste is sweet grains, bread, light corn and a faint bitter, metallic hop finish. Thin-medium bodied. 5/4/6/3/12
Bottle. A little disappointing considering the other Ettaler products I’ve tried. Golden color, thin head. Very easy drinking, but has substance behind it. The taste wasn’t necessarily citrusy, but did, oddly, remind me of 7-UP. 5/4/6/4/12 SledgeJr (2983), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2007 In the 500 mL bottle from the Huber Haus. Pours a hazy butterscotch golden color with a medium white head that is moderately retentive. Good thick palate to such a light beer. Strong malty taste of toasted almonds. Faintly lemon tart finish. This seems very strong for a helles. The only flaw is a slight benzene-like chemical numbing of the tongue. Has a mildy staw-like aroma with a splash of Hall’s Menthol-lyptus tossed in. This is a fun beer and I feel it is currently underappreciated with an overall score of 2.9! jimhilt (1691), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2007 Light golden color with a taller, fluffy, slightly diminishing slightly yellow tinted white head. Pale malt (flour and dough0 and just a hint of floral hops. Dry malt flavors and a crisp dry grass hop flavor. A touch of resin the flavor as well. I can see, that if this was not fresh it would not rate well. There is a crispness in a fresh sample that would be lost. A lightly toasted malt finish that continues into the linger and finds a touch of floral hops again. A nice Helles. MiP (9159), Sønderborg, Denmark
