GMCC2181 (429), Bear, Delaware, USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle shared by robert at stateline. Thanks robert! Solid IPA... Poured a nice orange color. Aroama was a typical IPA citrus hops. Taste was a good bitterness. Not a citrus or pine hops though. Could not quite put my finger on it. Medium texture. Overall a solid IPA, that I would buy again.
anders37 (2753), Malmö, Sweden Oct 7, 2008 Draught @ Brewer’s on the Bay, Newport, OR. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty hoppy grapefruit aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a long malty hoppy bitter finish with hints of grapefruit in the aftertaste. mephisto (1125), Taiwan Sep 29, 2008 clear golden with white head, it has grapefruit aroma and flavor, very tasty. waolsen (1021), Littleton, Colorado, USA Sep 28, 2008 bottle. hazy straw/orange pour with dense frothy off-white head. lacing. fresh hop. citrus, light earthiness and balanced malty aroma. big hops, caramel malts, bitter. light metallic aftertaste. cmillward (213), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bomber, courtesy of SoLan. Pours golden with a tight white head. Citrus and pine hops on the nose. More of the same pine and citrus hops in flavor, light malt profile, a little alcoholic heat shines though, very bitter pine, and then it winds down with a vegetal harsh astringency in the finish. Medium mouthfeel, with decent carb, but the finish is too harshly astringent to balance out. Aubrey (2614), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 25, 2008 Hazy and golden-orange with a big, foamy head. Nice texture. Snappy, sharp and crisp hops up front (flowers, grass, pine and citric acid); decent aromas in the beginning. Malt aromas were really sweet-smelling, with notes of cake, bread dough and caramel. Malt flavors were similar, but much more subdued and not very sweet. Finish was dryish and bitter. Residual bitterness was a bit harsh, and it didn’t have any sweetness to help balance things out. For that reason, I found the beer to be a bit stark and rough around the edges.
