Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. Dark copper with a fine, loose off-white head. Mostly malty aromas, some yeastiness, some dusty hops. Light toastiness, grassy hops and dry yeast flavours. Average mouthfeel, finish a was bit short, soft carbonation. Didn’t seem much like an ’old ale’.

A Mes rate. Cask at Baker St ’Sporks.
Red copper with a very good pillowy off white head head. A bloody good looking cask ale. Sweetish but reasonably balanced. Faint nuts and leather. Erm...that’s about it really.

Mid-brown pint at wetherspoons. Mild and malty, a sweet background with some roasted oats and caramel. Not really my kind of thing, a bit dull.

Cask conditioned handpull at Postal Order, JDW, Worcester. Chestnut, slight hae, thick beige head. It’s a decent slightly herby strong bitter. OK hops. Quite spicy and reminds me a bit of some hard candy sugar sweets in terms of flavour. OK

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End. Copper with an off white head. Dry and bitter for strength with eathy malts, some caramel and grassy hops.

Cask at the Moon and Spoon (JDW), Slough. Gold with a dense off-white head; malty aroma; full-bodied with a malty flavour and a peppery bitterness to finish. Better than most Everards I’ve tried.

Cask-conditioned at the Knights Templar (JDW), Bristol 28/10/09. Copper coloured with a decent white head. Red fruit and caramel, with some doughy malts, a touch of earthiness and bitter finish. Ok.

Cask. Light copper amber, golfen at the edges with a creamy off-white head that leaves big swathes of lacing. Aroma is malty flavor is a nice blend of flowery hops and toast caramel malt.
