I had this noted as 1989 but, what the heck, its old. And, although it might be old, its certainly still pretty sprightly. Really fresh fruity raspberry aroma. Nice balance of sweet fruit and acidity on the palate, although, understandably, the vibrancy has faded just a touch. But, all in all, the age hasn’t diminished this beer to any significant extent. Crisp, clean and fresh as a daisy. Remarkable.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 15, 2005 17 years old: At least, I remember someone saying it was 17 years old, but I see others having listed the beer we had as vintage 1986 or 1989. In any case, this one had been waiting quite a while to meet us and it was well worth the wait... Strong, thick cherry aroma is surprisingly fresh and vibrant with a fairly tart character. Opaque deep red body with low, dense, pink-white head that recedes very slowly to a ring that never fades. Biscuity, clean, raspberry flavour with subtle farmhouse phenolics and restrained acidity in the finish. Medium-light body with lively carbonation and soft texture. Still in marvelous shape despite it’s age. Sampled on draft at Plan B in Copenhagen. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Sour yet still so juicy and fresh. Amazing how a beer can be this old yet still taste so incredibly fresh. Long berry fruits. Very juicy and tart. Great stuff. rickgordon (3341), Göteborg, Sweden

Red-ish colour with a tint of brown. Sweetish nose, with a light tone of canned raspberry. Lively mouthfeel and very very dry. Berry-ish candy. Very nice. argo0 (7025), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is moderately sweet, raspberry, some syrup, bubblegum -- truly fantastic, I could stick my nose in this all day. Taste is medium sweet, raspberry, tart, light lemon. Light body, light acidity, remarkably fresh. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 23, 2005 Sampled at Plan B during RBESG 05 pub crawl, although I can’t remember whether I was aware, at the time if it was bottled or tap or what. Faintly pink brown-ness, with a wonderful choc-covered raspberry aroma. Superb balance - soft fruit to begin, building up to palatable sourness. Spritz, fruit in the mouth, nice interestingingly long finish. Superb quality beer. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden
