Hildigöltur (5056), København Ø, Denmark Mar 11, 2004 10-15 years old keg. Wonderful looking hazy reddish with big head. Surprising that the colour is still there. Great natural raspberry aroma with acidic and woody notes. Fantastic, well balanced, complex and sour raspberry flavour with a very nice tart and dry woody finish. Thanks to Dominiek Geers of Dranken Geers (http://www.drankengeers.be) of Oostakker for letting me bring this wonderful keg to Denmark. Thanks guys, for sharing this liquid gold with me!!! Beautiful hazy cheery color with the most foamy tall tan head. Very fresh and inviting raspberry aroma. Flavor is sweet and sour fruity with woody undertones. An extremely complex and tasty lambic, the best I have had so far and one of my all time beer favorites. Simply outstanding!! henrikb (1132), Aarhus, Denmark May 4, 2006 Updated: Oct 2, 2006(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm 27 April) – Vintage 89 - Huge creamy head lasting trough, leaving very beautiful laces on an unclear brown body; Incredible nose with loads of everything, fresh from sweet overripe raspberry together with oak, vanilla, brown sugar. This is simply amazing!; Very nice body, it could be more powerful, but has a superb balance and loads of complexity, it has a quite soft texture, could be a little more sour; The sourness explodes in the finish (not in the Cantillon way, but again in a very balanced way), which is super long with loads of aroma. THIS BEER IS SIMPLY FANTASTIC and I will never get enough of it. madsberg (4374), Bangalore, India Aug 5, 2004 Updated: Aug 28, 2004Draught @ Plan B, Vintage 1989 : Amber coloured. Unclear. Not much head, but it sure looks beutiful anyway. The nose is almost perfect. Full of fruits and some sour notes. Not so earthy as the really sour one, but still classy. Flavour is very fresh, acidic and fruity. There is a citric sourness the perfectly matches the fruitsweetness. Has a delicious full and complex body. Is dry, sweet and light sour in the end. Is very refreshing and cleansing. This is a tough one to beat. Bottled, Vintage 1989 (9,4,9,4,18): Orange/light red coloured. Dusty. Light beige impressive head. Raspberries, sweetness and other fruitnotes in the aroma. Is light citric . Flavour is fruity with a subtle sourness underlying. Light spiced. Very smooth and balanced. Has a nice sourish fruitflavour in the end. Refreshing. Looking forward to try this from tap at Plan B. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 26, 2003 1989 version, sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Clear red with creamy pink head. Sweet balsamic fresh raspberry aroma. Acidic, but with initial fruit sweetness and really tart finish. Wonderfully balanced and flavourful.
