JorisPPattyn (5172), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2006 Cuvée Spéciale; pretty old bottle Bright red beer with slight amber shine; small pinkish head, reasonably stable. Syrupy cherry nose, (not too) sweet cherry bonbons. Some old, definitely oxydized notes as an essence from fruit - but not necessarily for edible purposes. Restrained sweetness; as sour cherries with some sugar added; Can you imagine an aged, home-made cherry jam gone liquid? Not cloying despite a syrupy texture. Way better than I feared. Of course, the age has worked wonders here. rickgordon (3300), Göteborg, Sweden

Murky red-brown colour. Fresh cherries and almonds in aroma. Light bodied with overripe cherries, and with medium acidity. A bit on the sweet side. larsniclas (3386), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Oct 4, 2006 Bottled, 1989 vintage (thanks joergen for sharing!). Murky brownish red colour, small off-white head. Just wonderful aroma of sweet cherries. Totally filled the nose cavities (and my head!). Flavour is cherries and dry dark fruits. Lovely thing, considering it’s age!
