Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. 1989 vintage. Red color with white creamy head. Pleasantly acidic and cherryish aroma with notes of almonds and raspberry. Strong cherry flavor with refreshing acidity and some sweetness. Notes of minerals, wood and lemon with a little wild yeast character. Not highly complex but very pleasant and perfectly balanced.

Cuvée Spéciale; pretty old bottle Bright red beer with slight amber shine; small pinkish head, reasonably stable. Syrupy cherry nose, (not too) sweet cherry bonbons. Some old, definitely oxydized notes as an essence from fruit - but not necessarily for edible purposes. Restrained sweetness; as sour cherries with some sugar added; Can you imagine an aged, home-made cherry jam gone liquid? Not cloying despite a syrupy texture. Way better than I feared. Of course, the age has worked wonders here.

[On draught at Akkurat, Stockholm] Murky red-brown colour. Fresh cherries and almonds in aroma. Light bodied with overripe cherries, and with medium acidity. A bit on the sweet side.

Bottled, 1989 vintage (thanks joergen for sharing!). Murky brownish red colour, small off-white head. Just wonderful aroma of sweet cherries. Totally filled the nose cavities (and my head!). Flavour is cherries and dry dark fruits. Lovely thing, considering it’s age!
