Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Sep 9, 2008 An orangey golden bock with a thin off white head. Solvent like mlat aroma with light banana and cloves. In mouth, a chalky malt with light peaty notes, cramel, medium bodied. On tap at In de Wildeman, Nov. 2006. Borresteijn (588), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 30, 2008 On tap. Amberbrown, white head. Aroma of caramel and malts. Flavour is very malty sweet, sticky. Very slight bitterness in the end. Too sweet. kappldav123 (1072), Markkleeberg, Germany Jan 18, 2008 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Aroma not dry, a little bit hoppy. The beer is somehow hard and not strong, every special is missing. Only an average doppelbock. TBone (5116), Pori, Finland Dec 29, 2007 Bottled (BB 04/2008)
Copper brown color, good off-white creamy head, some lace. Very grassy, a bit sugary aroma. Grassy and malty, lightly alcholic flavor. Quite German, not really typical toasted doppelbock but very strong normal bock. oh6gdx (6343), Vaasa, Finland Dec 29, 2007 Bottled. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is grass, earth and some sweet malts. Flavour is malts, some diacetyl, bittering flowery hops and some mild notes of caramel. Hides the alcohol very well, easy to drink.
