This was a standard bavarian hefeweizen. Nothing really spectacular. Well made and clean, but nothing distinctive.

Cloudy yellow colour with average-sized head. Estery aroma with notes of canned pears and gastric juice. Musty, big mouthfeel with lots of phenols and esters. Solid beer!

Aug 9, 2008 (6/31/08) Draught at the brewpub in Bamberg. Cloudy-muddy yellow. Aroma is quite estery with banana and some clove. Sweetish wheaty flavor with some yeast, fruitiness and some clove spiciness. Medium-bodied. Decent.

Jul 13, 2008 On tap at Fassla, Bamberg. Clouded gold with white head. Heavy spicy weizen, cloves, banana with a farmy nose. Quite bittter and tangy with hints of gooseberry and more clove. Yeasty, bready finish.

May 20, 2008 Pours a cloudy light gold with a decent sized white head. Aroma of clove, banana, and spice. Not very impressed with this one.
