[Bottle from Bamberg.] Mmmmmmmmmm, nice dunkel with good notes all the swallowing way. Light brown look and sweetmalty app. Caramel, grain, dunkelsweet and nice watery. OK beer!

Bottle at Ealing beer fest. I was told this was a marzen, but its colour would infact say(as the site does) that this is a dunkel. Very malty, bready, small chocolate note, caramel, earthy german hop. Taste is similar, quite rich and not the easiest to drink, but quite good.

Bottle. Dark copper colour. Fresh malty aroma with bit of hops sensed. Solid, bready maltiness with hop presence and slight caramel touch. A very clean and tasty beer.

(6/31/08) Draught at the brewpub in Bamberg. Clear amber-brown with a white head. Aroma of toasted malt, some caramel and some bready notes. Sweetish malty flavor with some toasted bread, caramel and a slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied. Decent.
