On cask at Bar Volo Cask Days - Toronto. Appearance: Deep ruby red, zero head, like a pint of red wine. Aroma: a little alcohol, port, spice and peat. Flavour: Light peat, alcohol, spice, mild dark chocolate.

Cask at Volo’s ’Pre-Cask Days’ event. Pours a dark deep ruby with no head. Aroma’s slightly roasty along with a bit of smoke, some coffee and dark fruit -- quite nice actually. Flavour’s not quite as nice, it’s a bit watery and only very lightly roasty along with light hops -- it’s still good though. Light to average bodied. A pretty good Porter.

Appearance: black base , opaque with porous smallish top. 2+
Nose: good , interesting dark malts , licorice , roasted barley.
Flavor/Palate : Medium light bodied. Dry ash up front , licorice blended with roasted barley. Malty chewy finish. Alcohol well covered. Smooth and drinkable.
