Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruit, and caramel, leasding to a fruity finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottled (8.0% ABV, thanks Bov!). Slightly hazy copper colour, no head. Aroma is wooden, honeyish and also has some yeast in it. Flavour is quite much the same as well as some slight banana and fudge. Mild herbal notes lurking as well. Hides the alcohol quite well.

Bottled (BB 02/2010). Murky brown color, no head. Light fruity aroma: banana, wheat. Low carbonation. Sweet caramel, banana, toffee .. Interesting flat dubbel type brew. Hides alcohol well.

Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of Bov. Appearance: It pours a murky brown beer with a quick diminishing head. Aroma: Mediocre aroma of overripe banana and chestnut. Sour. Flavor and palate: The taste is completely dominated by overripe banana. Sour. Decent palate. The alcohol is nicely hidden. Hints of cough mixture sneaking in. Overall impression: Dissapointing. Thanks Bov!

Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear dark amber, rocky head.Aroma of plum brandy and caramel. Medium sweet with toffee and vinous notes of red currant. Medium-full bodied with dense, sparkling mouthfeel. Dusty caramel finish with some grassy bitterness. Complex and enjoyable.

re-rated 9-2009; from Au Grain d’Orgeit pours a cloudy dark reddish colour with a poor head retention; the aroma is mainly dominated by honeyish notes showing some caramel, banana and herbs in the background; sweet and effervescent palate and with a quite irregular malt body; a bit sticky and without bitterness; a light acidity from the honey brings the illusion of balance; long warming honeyish aftertaste with lot of residual sugars and grassy notes

3-2004 - my swiss beer #500 ! - brown-copper colour, fine dense creamy head, subtle aroma of honey and pine, smooth with lot of carbonation, medium-bodied and lsightly oily with some acidity, th finish is dry, honeyish and acidic with some notes of alcohol - not bad at all, even if the acidity (coming from the honey or involuntary ?) is too present - thx to Alex for this one (4/7/7/3/13)
