Commercial Description: This beer is made with pilsen malt, roasted malt, wheat malt, flaked oats and sugar. Brewed to a Belgian Tripel style, it uses also coriander seeds and curaçao. Ale yeasts and bottle refermentation complement the work to give to this beer an exceptional complexity of flavors. Bottled in a beautiful dark green "champagne" bottle, with natural cork, and unpasteurised, Monasterium has these main characteristics: Head: white, consistent and "creamy" Colour: Dark orange/Amber Taste/Smell: Plenty of esters, citric aroma remaining mandarine, apples, hints of banana. Some background spicy flavor due to the use of wheat malt and special yeast. Bitterness is well balanced to the body and flavors. Although is 9.0% alcohol by volume, its drinkability is remarkable. A singular beer, first of this style in Brazil.
