Commercial Description:
This beer is made with pilsen malt, roasted malt, wheat malt, flaked oats and sugar. Brewed to a Belgian Tripel style, it uses also coriander seeds and curaçao. Ale yeasts and bottle refermentation complement the work to give to this beer an exceptional complexity of flavors. Bottled in a beautiful dark green "champagne" bottle, with natural cork, and unpasteurised, Monasterium has these main characteristics: Head: white, consistent and "creamy" Colour: Dark orange/Amber Taste/Smell: Plenty of esters, citric aroma remaining mandarine, apples, hints of banana. Some background spicy flavor due to the use of wheat malt and special yeast. Bitterness is well balanced to the body and flavors. Although is 9.0% alcohol by volume, its drinkability is remarkable. A singular beer, first of this style in Brazil.

Bottle, september 08. Thanks scanovajr!!. Slightly hazy copper/amber color with a medium, bubbly head. Aroma is yeasty, spicy quite cidery with some honey and funk. Flavor is spicy, slightly fruity with an acidic/dry finish. Some phenols and slightly earthy too. Medium palate, effervescent, flavorfull. Dry finish and an acidic aftertaste. A littly too blurry. Nice, strong belgian that could be a little more refined.

Uma excelente cerveja. Complexa. Cheiro bem frutado. Coloração caramelo turvo. Densa e aveludada. Sabor suave de frutas - muito boa. O alcool mistura muito bem na cerveja. On top na Brew 2009.

Bottled. A hazy orange beer with an airy white head. Aroma is citric and yeast, notes of oranges. Taste is very spicy and fruity, citric notes, coriander. High carbonation and nice mouthfeel. Warm and alcoholic end. Very good brazilian beer

Bottled. Amber color, fluffy white head. The aroma is citric, notes of lima, lemmon and orange, flavor is acid a lot, looks like a white beer. Mouthefeel is citric and dry. Not good for me...

O creme bege é consistente e persistente. No aroma, notas cítricas típicas do estilo. No paladar, forte sugestão de cascas de laranja. O final é seco. Ótima cerveja.

Garrafa. Tomada em 2007 e 2008. Coloração âmbar turva, com creme branco denso e persistente, deixando uma fina camada perene. Notas cítricas, com presença de laranja. Levemente amarga. Álcool presente, mas muito bem inserido. Conjunto suave.
