would be more interesting. In my wisdom I had a second bottle in the cellar. It went where this one should have gone-down the drain! For the record the strength shown on the bottle was 4.1 and not 3.2 cgarvieuk (4208), Edinburgh, Scotland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 22, 2008 Bottle at home ... having seen all the reviews i really wasnt sure about it but i bought it to cook a chilli with ... A realy nice deep brown that shines lovely ruby when held up to the light ...a slightly unplesent sour nose ... BUT what a suprise ... flavour was deep roast malts a little fruity and a little sweet then slowly the Chilli bit siddles up to you. At first just a gentle carress but as you feel the chillis silky smooth caress it sucker punches you. with a nice sweet peppery punch ...that doesnt half make you sweat... Its got a solid rounded flavour ... so much that i drunk much more than i intended though i had to take breaks to let my body temperature return to normal. Ughsmash (4058), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 25, 2008 Thanks to Craig for sending this across the pond! Poured deeper brown with a thick cap of beige head. The aroma was rather sweet with some caramel and toffee represented.. a bit of vegetal character came through as well, but wasn’t too offensive.. just a bit of spice at the end, but the heat remained in the background. The flavor took a minute before the burn kicked in.. opened with sweet lighter fruits with building hot pepper seeds that lasted for quite some time after the finish.. not overly hot, but quite persistent, masking the underlying beer after the initial impression. Lighter-bodied on the palate with a hefty pepper factor.. this was a novelty beer, but was infinitely more tolerable than CCCB! 1FastSTi (2579), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 25, 2008 Thanks Jason. Pours to a hazy brown body with a thin creamy white head. The aroma is simple malts with some vegetal aromas but no hotness. The flavor is tart malt with a firey kick. Not much flavor overall. Lots of heat that lingers but I found that eating raw jalapenos is much hotter. The must not have used much naga peppers in the production of this. Long lasting heat. Not a lot of beer flavors/palate going on. Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jun 22, 2008 Uh, thanks Jason? Odd vegetal aroma. Musty and old lawn clippings that sat in my compost pile. Nice appearance however. Very deceptive. Good frothy head and gives me the impression of a porter. Definately a spicey beer. Oddly enough, the more I had of it the less hot it was. I wish they would’ve put as much effort into the base beer as the actual pepper integration. Sour, thin, foul for the base beer itself. Taste reminds me of a shitty buffalo wing sauce. Foul. As one of the previous ratings mentioned, nothing more than a gimmick beer. wyzzywyz22 (795), Wirral, Merseyside, England

Pours a purpley black with a soapy, dissipating muddy head. Very spicy blackcurrant aroma. Sourish and fruity flavour, then the chilli kicks in ! Never tasted anything quite like it in a beer ! Long lingering firey chilli burn, obviously not to everyones taste, but come on, at least try and finish it ! Quite enjoyed it myself, something very different and worth trying once ! rjsdoyle (4), England does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 17, 2008 Purely a gimmick beer, but a good one! Couldn’t drink more than a half, and wouldn’t want to! Worth checking out though, and having on hand to see just how hardcore the show-off at your party is! | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Bottle, 3.5%. Difficult to really rate this as a beer, it’s more of a jerk marinade or sauce to be added to stir fries and curries. Sparingly. Pours an innocent-looking liquorice colour with dirty edges and a short-lived scum of suds. Aroma waxy, hinting at roasted malt, chewy rauch smokiness and Bovril, but engulfed by the obvious peppery sweetness of freshly sliced chillies. Smells pretty good, but nothing like a beer. Sourish and intensely spicy. Pockets of Scotch Bonnet heat exceeding vindaloo, others gently searing the lips like Jamaican ginger beer. Make no mistake, this is all about the chillies, and those of a red Carribbean/Thai kind more fiery than aromatic. As an honorary British Indian well-acquainted with the ’medium spicy’, I’m proud to say I drank half of this without wincing, even started to quite enjoy it, and will be bottling up the rest to cook with and startle fellow lovers of chilli HEAT. An enjoyable gimmick.
