Bottle. Bronze beer with a very strong head. The aroma is sour, yeasty and hopped, and the flavour is bitter and dry. Overall a very average beer.

Bottle at my sisters ... Ok this bottle went off like a rocket, but maybe i didnt let it settle long enough so i will give it benefit of doubt... Brown hazy orange ... huge fluffy white head ... ornagy sour tang ... i dont think this is right. Drinkable but not right...... Saying that its growing on me... It got a tart zingy bitterness ... with a nice citrus backbone to it with some lime and grapefruit... quite drying id originally scored it at 2.9 but think uping it to 3.4 after getting into it.

Bottle, Dodgy Deli, Cowley Road, Oxford, had this 03-01-08 Cloudy orange pour with huge white fluffy head. Sour fruity tang the bitterness carries through the mouth. Some really grapefruit pithy qualities, even some yeastiness showing. I’m not convinced this beer is meant to taste like this as aside from the rating below me by Leaparsons I don’t recognise the beer that I’ve had suffice to say it’s described as having a bitter tang, that it does. I actually didn’t mind it though wonder whether it was at its best?

Bottle. Amber and lively with a large off-white foam. Aromas are earthy toffee with citrus and some metal. Citrus with some tainted qualities. Flavours are pear and citrus with toffee malts. Some nuttiness. As good as a kit homebrew bitter.

500ml bottle from Middle Farm, East Sussex. Pours a clear mid brown with a malty aroma. Lively mouthfeel and good balance of hops and malt. A simple session bitter that’s drinkable enough.

Bottle, at London gathering, November 2005. Thanks to harrisoni for bringing this one. This new brewery, producing only bottled beers, has brought out a very wide range of beers in a very short space of time, so we were fearful that they may not have been properly developed. No problems with this one. Subtle resinous and chalky notes, to go with some sweetish caramel. A solid, mid brown, quaffing bitter, presumably made with New Zealand hops although, like others, I would have preferred a bigger impact from them. So the overall effect was a touch understated. Not a world beater, but a perfectly respectable early effort.

Bottle. A bit dissapointing. Some light nutty, caramelly malt characters to start, with a touch of citric hops in the finish. Not enough in the flavour or body departments. Like harrisoni, i was expecting more NZ hop characters.
