Pale golden/yellow coloured, medium sized white head, dusty light grainy nose. Malty, lemony hoppy and light honeyish taste with notes of maize in rather bitter finish. Doggythedog (973), Split, Croatia Aug 27, 2008 I got this, with a radler, at the gas station across the street from the store we got most German beers at. Cute 0.33l bottle. Poured a lightly pale golden with a very thick medium sized white head that went away at a medium pace. Very lively carbonation, almost fizzy. Dusty malty nose. The dry, light taste is based on some interesting honeyish and fruity malt, mixing with dusty lemony hopiness. How many times have I said something similar... ah well. It’s subtle and interesting though, with a fine hop-malt interplay, but nothing all that special even if turned out to be quite enjoyable and likable in the end. As the others have said, it could really use more body to shine. pivnizub (3822), Porúří, Germany Oct 14, 2007 On draught (Pöschl-Stuben, B. Eisenstein): Pale golden, moderate loose white head, distinctive pale-malty and hoppy nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, very light bodied, but a light malty base is still detectable; short bitter-sweet finish. Good stuff, but deserves a fuller body......... Quack-Duck (1756), Bodensee, Germany Jun 10, 2007 large white head, hoppy nose. Full-bodied, slightly malty in the background, but mainly hoppy. Very dry and hoppy finish and aftertaste. motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Jan 3, 2005 wow! this bottle had an even older and more confused-looking guy on the label than livinus blonde. pretty pale, decent peachy, creamy and hay aroma. quite bitter and long, dry finish, classy stuff
