Oct 25, 2007 Bottle (purchased at the brasserie): Chestnut-amber coloured, visible carbonation, firm off-white lacy head, both dark-fruity and citrus-fruity nose with a tinge of dark (roasted) malt; medium bodied, soft MF; chocolatey traces in the fruity-malty, slightly sourish finish. Pleasant dark Weizen....

Jul 11, 2007 (bottle) Cloudy, dark brown colour with a huge and slowly lacing light-beige foamy head. Dusty, light-sweet and slightly toasted wheat-malty aroma with light fruity notes of citrus and plums. Light-sweet, slightly acidic flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Slightly toasty and light fruity taste with a moderate wheat-character and shy notes of caramel; sweet-bitter yeasty and subtle fruity finish with light notes of cloves.

May 22, 2007 Bottled at Zur Frosch, Hof, Bavaria. Cloudy nut brown, creamy head. Restrained toffee/banana aroma. Medium sweet with clean, spritzy mouthfeel. Some light phenols and chocolate. Not at all as refreshing as their pale version.
