| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Draught at EsBF09. Good cinnamon aroma, along with a mild and creamy roasted note. Black colour, seems a little cloudy. The flavour starts off with a distinct cinnamon note. Turns a bit creamy and quite roasted. Hard roasted malts. Has a subtle vanilla note which is very good in combination with the cinnamon. Maria (6207), Thisted, Denmark
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 15, 2009 It’s pitch black with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffeee, vanilla and little different Christmas spice, but not in a dominating way. The flavor is moderately sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, the cinnamon is almost not there, but it’s dryness gives it away. I also find other Christmans spices, and I think this is a “Christmassy” beer in the right way, harmonic and nice without a the entire self of spices dropped into the brew. charlotte (2020), Vanløse, Denmark

very nice roasted grains and toffee dominated aroma.
flavor is strong toffee, roasted grains, christamas spices (browncakes)
my rate might be lower than it should be bc i don’t like either browncakes or toffee, so not my kind of beer in that respect. sunevdj (1771), Copenhagen OE, Denmark
