Fantôme BBB Babillard

Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy/murky medium amber, dense particles of all sizes, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (bread, toasted grain), moderately hoppy (lemon, herbs, grass), moderately yeasty (barnyard, horseblanket), with notes of cask wood, grape, and clove. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Great stuff from start to finish...attractive farmy saison/lambic aroma, lambic-like tartness with well-matched bitterness and malt, nice mouthfeel and fabulous appearance. Another astounding creation from Dany.

A cloudy orange/gold color, lost of aroma, with lot of taste a good brew

This is pure Fantome Saison in every weird way possible. It"s a sweet tart of a beer, more herbs/lichens/moss/earth and pepper than one can ever expect to find in one place. I cannot believe that liquids of this extraordinary beauty exist on the planet. We are so lucky.

Very impressive. Brillant Orange, with a huge finely carbonated head. Sour, Lemony aroma. Full sour/tart flavor, with grain (rye?) and citrus in there as well. Notes of Oak and stone, as well as some mustiness, too. Nicley bitter, but not too overwhelming. I'd call it whelming, in fact. Now what the Hell is up with the label? Did I miss something?

Pours a cloudy amber color with a medium sized, white, rocky head that lingers. Big aroma of wood, yeast, and a perplexing sour tartness that is lambic like. Medium body with moderate carboantion. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with just a bit of crispness in the finish. The flavor is wonderfully fruity and yeasty, with wood, sour fruit, orange, and peach flavors all melting together. The finish is long and intensely fruity with peach and pear flavors. An intensely complex and wonderful beer, what a treat. I love Fantome!
