| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 4, 2007 Courtesy of Knightly Spirits. Pours a mahogany/amber with no head or lace. Hmm...very uncharacteristic of Fantome saisons except for maybe the Printemps. Nose is sourish pepper. A strange taste as well with an all-over palate of tart fruit and a sourish kick in the finish. The taste wants to penetrate in the beginning, but ends up straggling away. Also, some moldy shoe notes combined with apple and other cored fruit. Soft carbonation and medium body. This may be my least favorite Fantome beer so far, although it seems the recipes vary greatly year-to-year. I will undoubtedly try this again in the future. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Bottle. Notes from a long time ago. I had this bottle for maybe a year before opening it. Everyone mentions it being golden in color, but mine was dark brown. Had an off yellow colored head on it. Nose was spicy and full of sweet flavors and hints of alcohol. Wood and and grassy smelling too. Taste is fruity, lively with carbonation, and rich. Not really the best saison I have ever had, too earthy, not refreshing enough, and pretty much tasted like an alcohol bomb. Not something I want to drink again. drewbeerme (2315), Chicago, Illinois, USA
