| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2005 Old "Winter" bottle. Poured with the appearance of apple cider - even with the "floaties" that could be construed as cinnamon. The flavor was sweet, buttery, uneven, but lively and held much more body than expected. A little pepper in the finish is a nice touch. sayravai (3787), Helsinki, Finland

Quite large, tight and foamy, lacy head. Very yeasty, somewhat port-wineous and salty aroma with some sourness. Toffeeish-roasted-malty, yeasty flavor with herbs and faint sourness. Medium-bodied, dryish and low-carbonated palate. A delicious, roasty and slightly sour, very well-balanced brew. rauchbier (3004), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England
