This one was far different from the others. I would have called it a gueze. Dark orange with a large off white head. Fruit and yeast aromas. Flavors of yeast and barnyard; light fruit, and sour. Refreshing; seems more like a summer beer. I didn’t notice the alcohol at all. Stay away if you don’t like a sour beer; but I do and this one is great. eleusis (70), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 6, 2005 750ml bottle. Good, smooth... but a little too sweet. Tastes almost like caramel at times. I’d drink it again, and would definitely try other fantome choices. Its subtle. Radek Kliber (3957), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2004 Sweet, herbal aroma - Fanome it is, some funk, some wise brewing techniques and some x mark. Herbal, fruity, spice and alcohol. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 27, 2004 Fruit, yeast and farm field aroma, murky brown, some reddish hue at the sides, small custard head. Bitter, woody flavour, some fruit, akin to grape and cherry skins. Medium bodied, tart and quite a dry finish. Pretty nice version.
Many Thanks to whichever of My Guests brought this along!

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 26, 2004 Red and orange in colour with minimal carbonation. A veritable flurry of aromas: light malt, citrus and grassy hops, apricot, chocolate, and mint. The flavors are just as wild, with more chocolate and mint, horse blanket, yeast, red licorice, Christmas spices, and a bit of lactic sourness. Wild and fun! Even with all of these flavors going on, nothing seems out of place. No one flavor gets in the way of another. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2004 750 ml. Brown with a huge tan head. Funky hop aroma, which I am guessing is the SG hop. Nice and funky. Flavor is malty and hoppy, with a touch of chocolate. Smooth finish. This is real nice and enjoyable. Nice malt profile. GregClow (2496), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 22, 2004 Red-amber colour with lots of little floaties. Aroma is fruity, flowery and funky. Favour is quite complex - I wish I’d had it earlier in the tasting so I could’ve gotten more out of it, but even after a whole whack of other beers, I really dug it. [Toronto Christmas Party ’04]
