Bottle: Gold, light head and lacing. Nose of lime and citrusy pomegranite/grapefruit, nice light tart/sweet with light lemon-lime. The flavor is nice. Limey and a clean citrusy finish. Nice grassy notes. Yum.

Thanks to Kinz for bringing this to the 4th Richmond Gathering. Very hazy orange to yellow body with a medium creamy white head. Sweet highly spiced aroma, some cinnamon, winter spices, and some light citrus. Sweet spicy flavor, with some citrus tones.

Enjoyed with Thanksgiving dinner 2006. Pours orange and hazy with a big white frothy head. Citrus is subtle in the nose but quite complex. Overall I noted lemon, grapefruit and light spice. Great flavor! My turkey was very well complemented. Citrus, orange, and lemon rind are all well balanced along with spices and pepper and bitter hints at the finish. This is all very well integrated with nothing being overpowering and all held up by a light, well carbonated body. Refreshing!

This has a really crazy tart aroma for a saison, usu. known for subtlety. That doesn’t detract from the beer however, which is up to usual fantome standards. Spicy and good. Beer 24.

Whoah..unexpected aroma. Woody, almost cedary with lots of spiciness, citrus zest, hay must and fresh mown grass. The body is a brownish/orange but fairly bright. The head is a fluffy two finger thick Belgian classic that is constant as the northern star....immovable indeed. Slightlyt woody in the fore...very spicy...lemon peper seasoning almost...citrus and pepper are very concentrated. Sweet orange, apricot jam flavors throught the middle. Some apple notes. If you can work up a burp you’ll notice some mildewey/funky aromas lingering in the air in front of your nose....nice! I love how Fantome beers can seem so low key and yet still sooo damn concentrated and full of range. That cedar like woodiness lingering into the far aftertaste is amazing.

ours a rich nutty orange with a small white head ... decent think lacing. Aroma is dried apricots, a bit of sour funk, a bit of dough, and some pepper. taste is huge on dried apricots...i swear this is a apricot flavored saison...decent amount of spice and farmhouse taste. mouthfeel is somewhat light and dry, but still quite full from sweetness of the fruit flavors. i dig this beer.

Med. cloudy orange beer with a lacy small white head. Aroma of orange marmalade, lemonade, and horse blanket all rolled into one with a dash of black pepper. The body is med. dry with low CO2. The flavors are well aged, very lactic with a nice amount of grassy-earthy hops. The finish is dry and nicely bitter. Great friggin beer.

hazy gold under a medium sized creamy white head. lightly sour, apricot, pear aroma. flavor is apricot, peach, coriander, pepper, and hops. lightly sour. very carbonated mouthfeel.
