Aroma: Soft, slightly earthy, soft spice with yeasty touch, some orange element is present. Thick, stiff bright white head, cloudy bright amber, chunky yeast. Medium soft with yeast and vanilla, highly carbonated. Mellow overall, but carbonation is too high. Nice medium body, softer finish.

Biscuity, cookies, mild lemon in the nose. Opaque yellow brown with large white head that recedes to a decent cover with some sudsy lacing. Coriander, anis, biscuity malts and yeast are notable in the flavour. Very highly carbonated - strong in the mouth. Spicy. Has that typical Fantome collapsing mouthfeel. Very enjoyable. Bottle (enjoyed at Mondial RB Gathering 2004 with CapFlu, CaptainCougar, JerCraigs, MartinT, OKBeer, Radek and Rastacouere).

Cloudy light peach color with scads of bubbles and a large foamy off white head. Aromas of light flowers, onange blossom honey, mild light fruit acid, hint of cobwebs, and mild spice. Lemon and light fruit flavors. Very clean brew. Freshing and light. Lightly peachy flavors.

Hazy light orange with a white head. Soft nose of some spices, wheat, oranges, coriander. A dullness appears mid drink, but disappears into an orange peel, grapefruit and wheat flavor, with a slightly fizzy palate though a bit thin and a light sweetness throughout. Decent.

(Bottle) Mondial 2004 RateBeer Gathering at TiggMTL. Pours a large, foamy white head with a cloudy, ochre body. Nose of citrus, yeast, spice. Slightly oily and foamy in texture. Sweet flavour that is creamy and smooth. Mildly alcoholic and tickles the throat. Very good spice.

This saison pours with an orange-gold body topped by a thick, fizzy, off-white head with lots of lacing. The aroma is bitter and grassy yet slightly sweet and sour with notes of spice and a nice little hint of yeast. The flavor is slightly sweet yet spicy (clove) and bitter, as well as, slightly sour with a ton of grassy hops. I like it. Light bodied, crisp and dry.

Bottle pours a cloudy golden, gigantic - larger than life frothy white head, spotty lacing, with tremendous amounts of carbonation.   This one is extremely active.   I can literally watch layer after layer of bubbles building on the bottom of the head.   Aroma is quite spicey, slightly yeasty, smells very fresh.   Flavor is fowardly spicey, perhaps some citrus, rose hips, and yeast.   This one is very light, mouthfeel is slightly on the thin side.   Clean finish, more of them spices too.   This woulda been a better beer had it not been so carbonated.

Map Room, Chicago, 5/28/04. Kudos to the staff who thought they were out but went to the cellar to look, and who asked whether I wanted the 750 cooled down or to warm (of course, I said, the latter). Friday night, very busy, too smoky, no chair for me...but still a great bar and a great time. On to the beer - well, it’s a wheat or spelt-ish kind of beer, so automatically it will have a reduced head; and a nice, slightly citric sourness. Thin to medium-bodied, glowing amberish, thin at the start; a little lemony; some earthy funky cheesiness. Again, watery intitially. A lot like Saison D’epeuture by Blaugies.
