Commercial Description:
Light, fruity and champagne-like. Fantôme brews special seasonal beers, never repeating a recipe from year to year. This one is for spring . . .

Somewhat murky dark-copper body, rapidly dissappearing head, no lacing. Fruity, spicy (white pepper, coriander, kurkuma/koenjit) and tart aroma with brett, but also some caramel, quite a full spectrum, with a prominent yeast backbone. Taste was nicely sharp and citric upfront, and quickly faded into dry tart fruityness, good complexity and good balance. Not much carbonation. A nicely odd saison.

Bottle. Hazy orange brown coloured with a huge but fast disappearing head. Aroma of dried fruits, fruits and spices. Flavour of fruits and spices with notes of grapes and dusty notes.

bottle, ealing festival. Maple coloured with no head. Orange/apricot aroma. Yeasty with fruity hints. Some barnyard funk. Taste of unripened oranges with slight spice. Overall fruity and light. A nice drink.

Tons of spices in this beer, not the least bit subtle like many other saisions. Cedar notes, orange zest, this is just a crazy concoction. Coriander too. Quite nice.

Bottle. Orangey amber colour, with a fierce head that disappeared completely. Cloudy. Aroma is spicy, ice tea has been mentioned, at least lemon can be detected. Tastes of spices, and among them pepper and coriander are prominent. Noticeable alcohol. Orange flavours. Easily drinkable and complex.

Blame cheapdark, if he can rate, so can I. Consumed on my porch on the first stinking hot evening of the year. Poured a nice hazy golden color with short lived fizzy foam. Aroma is straight up Lipton lemon flavored iced tea mix, not the tea itself, but the powdered mix. Strange. First sip is a huge contrast to the aroma, big tidal wave of orange peel like bitterness with hints of candi sugar. Second pour gives me... is that a hop particle? Yay small breweries! Why do I still have xmas lights on my porch?? For the final pour I let some yeast infiltrate my glass in attempt to fight the bitterness, it works to a point, giving a somewhat nutty balance to the bitter orange peel onslaught.

5/15/07. Cloudy cider with a thin, tan head. Peppery apple with a touch of cherry. Soft, but up-front, carb with a lightish body. Hints of sour apricot and honeydew; black pepper toward the end. Very nice.
