oh6gdx (8798), Vasa, Finland May 20, 2007 Bottled. Hazy nutbrown colour, small white head. Aroma is earthy, yeasty and hoppy. Flavour is caramel malts, earth and grassy hops. Wellbalanced, but at the same time very acidic and sour. JK (2945), Richfield, Minnesota, USA May 13, 2007 This is a nice beer for a warm evening. Printemps is a sweet, flowery saison. The aroma is light hops with light yeast and fresh flowers. Flavor is on the sweet side, more yeast, light spices, and sweet fruit. One of th sweetest saisons I have had. Very tall but short lived white head, and a cloudy gold beer. Well balanced and very drinkable. NobleSquirrel (1099), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 8, 2007 This was a nice change of pace on tap. Crisp, a bit tart. Nice color, earthier than the saison. But nice on a nice day. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA May 4, 2007 Pours a darker amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of yeast, lemon, earth tones, spices, and some funkiness. Flavor starts of with the spices and lemon that give way to the earthy, yeast finish. Has some acidity on the finish as well as a slight alcohol warming. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA May 1, 2007 This is a very yeasty beer , the aroma of lactic acid is happens at the end the aroma. taste is mildly acidic and malty. Sourness is present yet not dominating. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA May 1, 2007 The aroma is very yeasty with the wild yeast funk. There is also a wooden element that is not unlike cedar and cork. Also present is a tart fruitiness and pepper. The appearance is deep amber with a small than average head. The flavor is just like the aroma. The palate is typical for the style. The finish is dry. It’s interesting but not one of my favorites. DrHomolka (726), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 30, 2007 Pours cloudy yellow with a huge, foamy white head. Aroma is musty, zesty, pepper, something familiar I cannot pinpoint. Very nice balance between sourness and smoothness in the flavor. Drinkable yet quite flavorful. Yeasty, tart, and a little citrusy, grapes. This is my first fantome beer but certainly not my last. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Apr 20, 2007 750ml bottle (2006) from Kingdom Liquors Brandon, Fl. Pours a slightly hazy amber wit a small log lasting white head. Aroma of black pepper, light fruits, slight barnyard, and herbal hops. Taste is the same with a slightly peppery and fruity begining and dry tart finish. Another wonderfull beer from Fantôme.
