Shared with my gf over dinner. I usually love fantome but something about this doesn’t sit qutie right. Pours golden with a bright white head. Nose is sweet but overly spiced. The spice comes back in the taste and it just really doesn’t do it for me. Snojerk321 (1943), San Diego, California, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 16, 2009 Jumping the gun for spring, here we have a classical saison appearance of a mildly hazed golden body topped by a vanilla head with lots of sheet and spiderweb lace. Aroma of lemon Pez, powdery spiderwebs, spice shop ginger, white grapes, and rain washed sheep. Silky body is slightly chalky. Taste is pastoral and makes me want to buy some sheep for the warmer months. Lemon rind, lemon pez, wool, a hint of ginger and nutmeg, floral and herbal hops, black pepper, earthiness, Oh My! Love these Fantomes. Beckons and evokes verdant pastures and herb farms. Fauns ands satyrs rejoice... fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 21, 2008 This is my first Fantome so I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect or if I’d even like this. Pours a dirty amber color, maybe calling it brown is more accurate, with a huge fluffy head. I had to let this one settle down a bit. The aroma has floral notes, spices, yeast, and a malty-grass scent. A lot of that comes out in the flavor as well with the addition of a peppery, spicy, but also sour, barnyard, funky taste. There’s a bit of an alcohol bite here too. This is a good beer, quite a bit there to keep me interested the whole way through. I sat on this for a while after purchase and I am not sure why. I will seek more of these unique brews from Fantome out. bhensonb (4245), Woodland, California, USA

Hazy orange-gold color with a frothy off-white head. Strong aromas of spice and funk. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is earthy, woody, funky, spicey. Finishes more funky and spicey than anything. Astringent. A slight pepper note. Really very good. stefanje (939), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
