Light, fruity and champagne-like. Fantôme brews special seasonal beers, never repeating a recipe from year to year. This one is for spring . . .

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy glowing yellow with an orange tint. Fizzy off white head with some lacing. Nice fruity and lightly spiced nose. Lots of clove, lemon and orange peel in both the nose and the flavor. Finish was very dry and crisp.

Jumping the gun for spring, here we have a classical saison appearance of a mildly hazed golden body topped by a vanilla head with lots of sheet and spiderweb lace. Aroma of lemon Pez, powdery spiderwebs, spice shop ginger, white grapes, and rain washed sheep. Silky body is slightly chalky. Taste is pastoral and makes me want to buy some sheep for the warmer months. Lemon rind, lemon pez, wool, a hint of ginger and nutmeg, floral and herbal hops, black pepper, earthiness, Oh My! Love these Fantomes. Beckons and evokes verdant pastures and herb farms. Fauns ands satyrs rejoice...

Shared by Chris at the Alesmith line tasting. Nice spicy aromas with some earthiness and citrus. Similar flavors with a really nice fruity finish. I liked it.

This is my first Fantome so I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect or if I’d even like this. Pours a dirty amber color, maybe calling it brown is more accurate, with a huge fluffy head. I had to let this one settle down a bit. The aroma has floral notes, spices, yeast, and a malty-grass scent. A lot of that comes out in the flavor as well with the addition of a peppery, spicy, but also sour, barnyard, funky taste. There’s a bit of an alcohol bite here too. This is a good beer, quite a bit there to keep me interested the whole way through. I sat on this for a while after purchase and I am not sure why. I will seek more of these unique brews from Fantome out.

Bottle, capped and corked. From South Bay Drug. Hazy orange-gold color with a frothy off-white head. Strong aromas of spice and funk. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is earthy, woody, funky, spicey. Finishes more funky and spicey than anything. Astringent. A slight pepper note. Really very good.

Bottle shared by someone at the BA Numbskull line tasting. A gold-amber pour with a small white head. The aroma was bold and funky with spices and bit of horse blanket. The flavor was spicy with thyme, grapes, leather, and oak. The finish was short and dry. The mouthfeel was medium and crisp. Overall: A very enjoyable saison.

Hazy gold with a hint of brown. Clean white head that stays for a consideral amount of time. Yeasty, spicy, and slightly citrus aromas. Flavors are more spicy than other fantomes. The finish is dry with notes of citrus and a touch of menthol, alchohol or mint. Love that Fantome, but not their best.
