| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 13, 2003 Nice rich, dark amber topperd by a stiff foamy head. The aroma is grass, green tree leaves broken in late summer, plums, tangerines and cheese. The flavor is light biscuity malt and subtle fruitiness, pear. Boutip (2386), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Bottle: Poured a cloudy beige color ale with a huge foamy off-white head with some good retention and some good lacing. Aroma is somewhat vinous with some sour notes with some weird floral-like notes. Taste is a mix between some strong Belgian style malt with some funky and sour notes and a strange herbal/floral ending. Full body with some strong carbonation and no apparent alcohol. The last few Fantome I have had have been somewhat disappointing but this one was different and very tasty. Beerlando (2347), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2008 Easter dinner beer, 2008. Pours a hazy, glowing orange-yellow color. A large, foamy, snow white head shows excellent retention, leaving a thick film on the glass. Light candy sugar malts set a sweet foundation for the nose, with lemon rind, coriander, and chamomile providing bright, citrusy notes. The signature Fantôme funk and dusty, earthy hops complete the beautiful aroma. The flavor is again bright with citrus, with an excellent balance between dry, earthy hops and a candy sugar, honey, and cream background. The body is substantial, with a creamy mouthfeel. Finishes clean and crisp. Perfect with Easter dinner. Another great Saison from Fantôme. JohnC (2286), Mission Viejo, California, USA

I know a lot of people who like this beer, but for me, it’s far too sour and funky. no thanks. BTW, this is about the 3rd time I’ve tried it. I’m rating it based on my reaction all 3 times. Mads Langtved (2246), Copenhagen K, Denmark

Storm season has officially begun around here, and once the wetness stops, let’s pray these April showers that come our way better bring some pretty damn gorgeous flowers that bloom in May! Anyway, to honor the start of the season, let’s have some spring saison, eh?
Hazy, pale orange appearance, transparent at glass’s foot, with a good, 1/2" fluffy head
Nose is yeasty and citric, musty, sour, heavy on the lemon.
Spritzy play on the palate at first, brightly tangy, with an everlasting tickle on the tongue, brisk and refreshing. Lightish body, beautiful texture, solid mouthfeel, goes down ever-so easily, like any saison should.
8%? They fooled me!
An excellent way to toast the demise, at last, of winter!
Now, to say goodbye to all this rain!

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 2, 2004 Hazy copper, loosely formed but long lasting and large light tan head. Aroma is surprisingly restrained, with notes of apple, orange, wet pennies, and very distant funk. Smooth mouthfeel with a definite toffee malt note, undefined fruit, and some bitterness on the finish. Almost English somehow. This is a Fantome with training wheels. Big thanks to matta for sending this one!
