| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 7, 2006 A big pop when this one opens. Amber body and quite hazy. Massive rocky and frothy head with gentle lacing. Aroma is yeasty with some black pepper, cloves, mint and citrus hops. Flavour is sweet at the front with peach and pepper before mellowing out and turning sour, drier and hoppier. There is a lingering of burntness that is quite unique. sloth (1677), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

Hazy, pale straw color that has a glow when held up to the light. Musty, yeasty nose, co2, light maltiness and fruit hints. Light/medium body, well carbonated., co2 bite. Lightly bready malt flavors with plenty of flowery hops. Dry finish, tastey Saison. theisti (1674), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2009 750 ml bottle given to me by alagnak, enjoyed with csbosox. Corked and capped. Pour is hazed golden, yellow with visible floaties. Nice one inch white head that falls quickly. Small amount of lacing. Aroma of grainy wheat, cloves, white pepper and the house Fantome yeastiness. There is also an element of citrus, fresh cut straw and a strange chemical element that I can’t quite place. Taste is clove, white pepper, earthy yeastiness, wheaty graininess. Citric lemon peel, really floral. As with the nose, this beer has an extremely unique taste that I really can’t pin down. Palate is medium, mouth coating. Tasty beer, as always with Fantome interesting. Really a challenge to describe this one. Thanks for giving me this one, Chris! JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is peppery, earthy, and well hopped with some citrus sweetness poking through. Sweet earthy, fresh-fieldish flavors meld very well with a nice earthy-floral hop flavor. Light citrus and grass in there as well - very good with the butterfish I had at a local BYOB - one of the best Fantomes (and saisons) I’ve had to date. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA

Cloudy caramel colour with a head that reste predominantly on the side of the glass. Aroma is spicy apples with some milder floral notes. this tastes like a mild cider, with some sweet and sour candy hints on the finish. Only my second beer from this brewery, and I am impressed thus far.
