Honey, ground black pepper and assorted spices in the aroma. Thin citrus black pepper spice taste. Taste does not quite live up to the aroma, but good nonetheless. asheft (1438), Marburg, Germany

Orangey-brown and opaque from the yeast that I got since it was the end of the bottle. Wispy tan covering. Fruity aroma of banana and apricot with strong notes of the yeast esters and some powdery peach and perahps a bit of higher alcohols. House flavour of woody grape with a nice bit of sweet malt and significant bitterness. Light to medium body with medium carbonation and a little lingering bitterness. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Apr 24, 2006 Don’t know how old this is, bought it about 16 months ago, and it looked like it had been on the shelf awhile. Cork is removed with a promising pop. Clear amber. Two fingers of dense, frothy, off white carbonation. Aroma: grainy barn funk with a tinge of sourness, toasty caramel malt, crisp aromatic hops, some dark fruits, candi sugar? - smells like a cross between a belgian strong and a saison, a bit of pepper, and subtle alcohol. Flavor: crisp hops, grains, and musty barn funk up front - followed by smooth, roasty caramel, dark fruits, and candi sugar in the middle - dry, sour, spicy, peppery, yeasty and slightly alcoholic finish. Overcooked sourdough bread aftertaste, with the crust. Palate: rather light for all that’s going on - medium, balanced body. I’ve yet to have a beer of theirs I didn’t like. More Fantome on the way to Knightly very soon. Be careful when you see me. fredandboboflo (1417), East Setauket, New York, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2009 750 ml bottle - purchased at Bottleworks; bottle has the pink lettering; no marking on side to determine the age; poured into a very nice Boulevard saison glass courtesy of the generous Theisti; slight pop and probably would have gushed over if I hadn’t started to pour; dark orange w/ 1/2" sustaining eggy white head; incredibly amount of floaties cycling to the surface via the carbonation; first aroma to hit is one of food - almost garlic chicken if you can believe it; I get a pleasant mix of ginger, rosemary, oregano, musky sourness and dried flowers;celery and some pepper with a little thanksgiving stuffing; never smelled anything quite like it; wow, silky smooth texture; super creamy and full bodied; floral, grassy, spelty wheat some lemony or grapefruit tartness; cheese and some mint too; get the ginger and just a touch of rosemary again; fruity, but in the grapefruit and grape sphere; some sort of spice, seems like ginger, pops out the most to me; earthy overtones and perfectly dry finish; strange, intoxicating and delicious all at the same time; I didn’t read any ratings before opening, so this was very different than expected; earthy notes trump the fruity ones; one of a kind across the board BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal

Muddy orange look with no head and an aroma of nice sour citruselements. Flavor is similar added with amounts of hops over average, peaches, fruits particular, grapefruit, summerbeernotes and indeed a brew for further investigation. Very cozy and swanky beer. Of an only art!
