Aroma is typical saison farmhouse funk, grassy, herbal, and musty. Flavor is nice, there’s a sharp bite initially, which fades into a smooth grassy hoppiness. Finishes dry and tart. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 17, 2006 What a perfect weekend to try this brew. Easter, sunny, friends and family. Pours a golden straw color with a nice white head. Good looking carbonation. The aroma is pleasant with light citrus, semi-sweet hints, bready yeast, and earthy spice. Lightly floral overall. Great blend of flavors (perfect with Easter lunch). Starts with some bitter spice (pepper?) but moves quickly to a semi-sweet citrus, with Belgian yeast. A mix that is very spring like and quenching. From there you move on to the finish of lightly bitter spice (saffron came to mind) and light noble hops. Wet medium body with lots of carbonation. Very refreshing. One of my favorites from Fantome. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 4, 2007 Pours a darker amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of yeast, lemon, earth tones, spices, and some funkiness. Flavor starts of with the spices and lemon that give way to the earthy, yeast finish. Has some acidity on the finish as well as a slight alcohol warming. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 3, 2002 It reminds me a lot of Saison de Pipaix, with a difficult-to-describe spiciness. Body is medium-to-darkish amber, hazy; head is big, receding very slowly. A slow pour.
Oh, geez, I’m not going to be able to describe this very well. Spicy, dry, a strong bitterness at the end. I get a bit of apple in the middle, but it’s hard for a novice to really describe this beer very well. Maybe coriander and ginger, but I think the better palates need to evaluate this one. The nose is really different, with strong hints of celery, cilantro and lime. The spring mix salad with lime continues into the body where notes of caramel, hay and yeast intermingle. Finishes slightly astringent and dry. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA

Aroma of apricto, lemons and spices. Flavor is similar with a very spice/herb body to it. Palate is smooth, spicy and a VERY interesting brew! Thanks to Silphium for this one!
